In all 151 branches nationwide, Lidl Switzerland is now introducing the option of withdrawing cash directly from the checkout, free of charge. For this, Lidl Switzerland is embarking on a cooperation with Mastercard and PAYONE.

ATM cash withdrawals are becoming increasingly chargeable. Lidl Switzerland is cooperating with Mastercard and the Worldline company PAYONE to enable customers to make cash withdrawals directly at Lidl’s checkouts for free, beginning on May 3, 2021. It will be possible to make a withdrawal with a minimum spend of CHF 10. Customers will be able to withdraw cash up to 300 francs. Maestro and Mastercard Debit cards from all banks will be accepted.

Stefan Kopp, Chief Financial Officer of Lidl Switzerland, comments: «The convenience of withdrawing cash while shopping? Our new offering makes it possible. This development will contribute to an even more pleasant shopping experience for our customers, because they can save themselves the trip to an ATM and the possible fees.
